Reserved For Two Saturday Date Guide For Oklahoma City | July 11, 2026
Slow Mornings, Lake Breezes & Live Music
Some Saturdays are made for checking things off a list. This isn't one of them.
This date is all about slowing down, enjoying good conversation, and experiencing some of Oklahoma City's most relaxing spots before ending the evening with free live music under the stars.
8:30 AM:
Coffee at Zero Tolerance Coffee —4801 N Classen Blvd. Oklahoma City
Start your morning at one of OKC's favorite local coffee shops. Skip the drive-thru and spend a little time together over a handcrafted latte and breakfast pastry before the day gets busy.
9:45 AM:
Wander Will Rogers Gardens —3400 NW 36th St.
One of Oklahoma City's hidden gems, these peaceful gardens are perfect for an unhurried morning stroll. The rose garden, mature trees, and shaded paths make it feel like you've escaped the city without driving very far.
11:00 AM:
Explore the Paseo Arts District —NW 30th Street & Paseo
Spend the late morning browsing local galleries, boutiques, and artist studios. Pop into a few shops, admire the colorful Spanish Revival architecture, and enjoy discovering something new together.
12:45 PM:
Lunch at Frida Southwest —500 Paseo
Fresh flavors, beautiful décor, and one of the prettiest dining rooms in OKC make this a wonderful place to linger over lunch.
3:00 PM:
Lake Hefner Boardwalk —Lake Hefner East Wharf
Head west for a relaxing afternoon walk around the east wharf and lighthouse. Grab a cold drink, watch the sailboats, and enjoy one of the city's best summer views.
5:30 PM:
Early Dinner at Redrock Canyon Grill —9921 Lake Hefner Pkwy, OKC
Ask for a patio table if available. Watching the sun begin to lower over the lake while enjoying dinner is one of the most romantic settings in Oklahoma City.
8:00 PM:
Free Summer Concert at Scissortail Park
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and finish your evening with live music under the Oklahoma sky. The park's Summer Concert Series features free performances throughout the season, and a concert is scheduled for the evening of July 11.
Tip: If you're heading to the concert, stop by a local bakery or dessert shop before you arrive and bring a sweet treat to enjoy while listening to the music. It's an inexpensive touch that makes the evening feel a little more special.
